Sinful Cinnamon Recipes
Featured Recipe: Chewy Oatmeal Craisin Cookies
2 ¼ C Unbleached all-purpose flour
½ C Brown Sugar, packed
½ C White sugar
½ C Butter
¼ C Cranberry Juice
2 ½ t Baking Powder
2t Sinful Cinnamon
½ t Baking Soda
1/2 t Salt
1 Egg
1 C Kashi Two Good Friends (or other high fiber) Cereal
½ C Quick Cooking Oatmeal
½ C Craisins
- In a large bowl, combine together everything except the cereal, craisins and oatmeal. Mix everything together until well blended, scraping the bowl a few times. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop 1” balls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake the cookies for 15 minutes, or until slightly brown. DO NOT OVERBAKE or cookies will be very dry.
- Remove from the cookie sheet and cool. Store in an airtight container or freeze until ready to eat. Enjoy!
Pork Chops with Chunky Apple Confit
Prepare two pork chops your favorite way (grill, broil, bake or pan sear) and top with our chunky apple confit. Enjoy!
1 sm. cooking apple, cored, peeled and cut into thin wedges
1 TBSP butter
1TBSP packed brown sugar
1 TBSP lemon Juice
1 TBSP Sinful Cinnamon
Cook apple wedges in butter in large skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add brown sugar,lemon juice, and Sinful cinnamon. Add to apples and cook, uncovered, 5 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Makes 1 cup sauce.
Cinnamon Glazed Carrots
Take a 1# bag of baby carrots and ¼ c water in put in a microwave safe bowl. Cover with an upside down plate. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stir and repeat until soft. Drain. Toss with a teaspoon of brown sugar and ½ teaspoon of Sinful Cinnamon. Serve Hot
Fabulous Apple Crisp
Set oven to 350 degrees. Peel and core 4-5 pounds of apples and slice. Mound apples in a 2- quart baking dish. Pour 1/3 cup of apple cider, apple juice or water into the dish.
Make crumb topping as follows:
Work together with your fingers these ingredients making a coarse mixture:
¼ C Brown Sugar
¼ C White Sugar or substitute
¾ C unrefined Flour
¾ Stick Butter or Margarine
½ Teaspoon Salt (optional)
1 Teaspoon Sinful Cinnamon
Put on top of apples and bake for about 1 hour or until golden brown.
** Can also be made with blueberries or cherries.
Extraordinary Coffee
Lightly sprinkle to cover the top of your coffee grounds with Sinful Cinnamon Blend before brewing. Adds a great, cinnamon – nut flavor to any coffee without the calories!
Fabulous Peach Crisp
Set oven to 350 degrees. Peel 3-4 pounds of peaches and slice. Mound peaches in a 2- quart baking dish. Pour 1/3 cup of apple cider, apple juice or water into the dish.

Quick and Easy Sticky Rolls
Mix together ½ cup of packed, light brown sugar, 1 heaping Tablespoon of Sinful Cinnamon Blend and 2 Tablespoons of soft butter. As an option, you can add chopped nuts of any style and/or raisins to the mixture. Open one can of refrigerated crescent rolls and separate into 4 rectangles. Spread each rectangle with about 2 Tablespoons of cinnamon mixture. Roll up the rectangles and slice into 6 rolls each. Bake 8-12 minutes until lightly brown in a 350 degree oven. Cool and enjoy! Optional: drizzle with glaze that is 1/3 Cup of powdered sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons of milk.
Kristen's Outrageous Baked Apples
Take 4 medium sized firm apples (mac, empire, etc.) wash and core, leaving about 1/2 inch of flesh in the bottom of the apple. In a bowl, combine 4 T brown sugar, 2 T of softened butter or margarine and 1 T of Sinful Cinnamon Blend. Divide mixture up into 4 equal amounts and put in the hollow of each of the apples. If desired, add some raisins or nuts. Place in a glass or ceramic microwave safe dish. Microwave on high until soft (usually 6-8 minutes) Enjoy!
Auntie's Apple Pie
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. Sinful Cinnamon
1/4 c. water*
4 to 5 c. peeled, sliced, tart apples
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. sugar
Pastry for 9 inch double crust pie
Preheat at 350 degrees. Prepare pastry and roll out half and line a 9 inch redi-pan deep dish pie pan. Combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon in medium size bowl stir in water. Add apples, mix to coat thoroughly. Pour into pastry lined pan; dot with butter. Roll out second half of pastry for top crust. Cut design in center to allow steam to escape. Place on pie, pressing around edge to seal. Brush pastry with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until crust is browned. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
*Omit water if apples are moist.
Crème Brulee
8 egg Yolks
1 C White Sugar
1 TBSP Vanilla
1 Quart Whipping Cream
2 Teaspoons Sinful Cinnamon Blend
Heat cream in saucepan on low heat until tiny bubbles form around the edges.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
Add vanilla.
Gradually add cream to egg and sugar mixture while mixing.
Pour into eight 4oz custard dishes.
Place in a 1-3” deep baking dish and add enough warm water to the baking dish to cover the custard dishes ½ way. (This is called a warm water bath.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Chill. May be prepared up to 1 day in advance.
Mix 8 Tablespoons white sugar and 2 Teaspoons Sinful Cinnamon blend together. Sprinkle about a tablespoon on top of each dish and bake for 5 to 10 minutes more or until golden brown in color.
*NOTE: do not keep too long in the refrigerator once you have glazed with sugar as the sugar will melt.
Butternut Squash Soup with Cranberry Puree
1 small onion diced small
2 carrots, diced small
2 oz. Butter
1 teaspoon Sinful Cinnamon Blend
1 bay leaf
1 ½ pounds butternut squash, peeled and chopped into 1” cubes
½ pound sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1” cubes
3 pints chicken broth
White pepper as needed
Heat a large, heavy soup pot and melt butter. Add the onions, carrots and a pinch of salt. Cook slowly until soft, about 8 minutes. DO NOT BROWN. Add Sinful Cinnamon blend, white pepper and cook for 3 minutes. Add sweet potatoes, squash and chicken borth. Simmer for 30 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and let cool. Puree in small batches using a blender or food processor (a stick blender works great.) Adjust seasoning and hold hot until ready to serve, or cool and refrigerate.
Puree:
1 package fresh cranberries
4 ounces port wine
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon Sinful Cinnamon
In a sauce pan, combine cranberries, port and sugar. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes until cranberries burst and the mix starts to thicken. Puree in a blender or food processor. Strain sauce and keep warm. You can drizzle over soup, using 1-2 tablespoons per bowl using a spoon, or, we find putting puree in a squeeze bottle works great and allow you to be creative. Makes it easier to put the left over puree on turkey sandwiches too….
Mashed Sweet Potatoes
1-1½ pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed into 1” chunks
2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine
1 Teaspoon Sinful Cinnamon
Pinch of Brown Sugar
Salt and Pepper as needed
Boil potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Mash with potato masher or whip with electric mixer. Add butter, Sinful Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, Salt and Pepper. Serve warm. Enjoy!
